Presentation of the Website

Below is the short and extremely crude stop motion video I made to show the creation of the online portfolio step by step.

This blog was initially created to help me on my concluding university project. Yesterday was the formal ceremony to recieve the certificate(left) that values as a diploma. To get your official diploma in Brazil, you must wait about nine months after making the request.

Only one usual problem...

August 9th I presented the project. Thankfully the professor who was guiding me, Isabel Duarte, suggested me to do something else besides using my horrible oral skills. I made an eight minute animation using more than a thousand photos and screen caps. The grading board really liked it as it compensated for the decrepit text part of the project. And today I´m just waiting for graduation.

It´s been a while since I last drew. Sunday (14/08) I went to a small gathering to commemorate a friend´s birthday. Inspired by it, I drew Fontanella and Nara. As you can notice, I still have a tough time drawing men. Nara was much easier. Oh yeah, for people who can´t associate names and faces after six months, Nara is the one on the bottom.

I´m guessing this is how I´ll feel once this project is over.

Watched Chungking Express (1994) yesterday. Great movie. I wonder if it inspired some ideas in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain (2001).
